Bataleon outlet – Dutch snowboard brand with 3BT technology

Bataleon Snowboards was founded in 2003 by Danny Kiebert from Amsterdam. This makes Bataleon one of the few Dutch snowboard brands on the world market. The company focuses exclusively on snowboarding and is now active in more than 30 countries, with team riders such as Rob van Mierlo and collaborations with Beyond Medals.

The brand's signature is 3BT (Triple Base Technology): instead of one flat base, each Bataleon board gets three base surfaces – flat between the bindings and upwardly curved side bases at the edges. This reduces the risk of an unwanted edge catch, provides better float in powder and makes riding more forgiving, especially for beginners and intermediates. In our outlet you will find almost the entire Bataleon range plus our own Bataleon Fase bindings - new, unused, from previous seasons.

What does Bataleon sell in our outlet?

All mountain snowboards

Goliath and Goliath+ are the best-selling all-mountain shapes with directional taper. Whatever (Rob van Mierlo signature) is on the soft side; Cruiser and Disaster on the stiffer all-mountain side.

Freestyle/park snowboards

Evil Twin and Evil Twin+ are the iconic freestyle twin tips: symmetrical, soft-medium flex, ideal for rails, jumps and switch riding. Stuntwood and Wallie are in the same park category.

Freeride/powder snowboards

Thunderstorm, Turbo and the Party Wave are the freeride/powder choices: more setback, stiffer flex, better float in deep snow. The Surfer is a surf-oriented powder shape.

Bataleon Phase bonds

Bataleon's own binding line. Blaster (men + W) is the all-round binding with medium flex. Blaster Pro is a tad stiffer for more aggressive riders. With X-Tor or FASE disc compatible with most boards.

Bataleon technology: what do they stand for?

Bataleon has been investing in one main technology for over 20 years: 3BT. They refine construction and materials per model line.

3BT (Triple Base Technology)

Three base surfaces in one snowboard: a flat center piece between the bindings and two upwardly curved side bases that run towards the edges. This lifts the contact points on the snow slightly, making you much less likely to get an edge catch - ideal for beginners and intermediates who ride switch or have pop.

Sidekick

Uplifted nose and tail (extra rocker at the ends) on park boards. Combined with 3BT, this gives a playful feeling: easy presses, better release from ollies. Can be found on Evil Twin and Stuntwood.

Twin (TBT) shape

Symmetrical shape for freestyle boards: same flex and geometry nose/tail. Makes switch riding as natural as regular. Standard on Evil Twin and Whatever.

Carbon Stringers

Carbon reinforcement along the length of the board. Increases pop for ollies and torsional stiffness for carving. Standard in Goliath+ and Evil Twin+.

X-Tor Disc (on Phase Bonds)

Disc system that connects the binding to the Bataleon boards without tools. Fits all common patterns (4×4, 2×4 and Burton Channel).

Sintered Base

Pressed porous base (instead of extruded) that absorbs wax better and is faster. Standard on higher models (Goliath+, Evil Twin+, Thunderstorm).

Frequently asked questions about Bataleon

What is 3BT and how does it benefit me?

3BT (Triple Base Technology) is Bataleon's patent: a board with three base surfaces. The base is flat between the bindings, but the base rises slightly at the edges. This minimally lifts your contact points with the snow, making you much less likely to get an unwanted edge catch. For beginners this means: fewer falls. For experienced riders: easier pressing, smoother transitions between edges and better float in powder.

Is Bataleon a good snowboard brand?

Yes. Bataleon has been an established brand in the international snowboarding world since 2003 and is consistently well rated by snowboard media – precisely because of the unique 3BT design that differs noticeably from most competitors. The sister brand Lobster (from Stale Sandbech) and collabs with Beyond Medals demonstrate the freestyle credibility. Not a mass-market brand, but highly valued by those who know it.

Which Bataleon snowboard suits me?

Beginner / sometimes to the slopes: Whatever or Push Up (soft, 3BT, very forgiving). Versatile all-mountain: Goliath or Goliath+ (medium flex, all slopes). Park & freestyle: Evil Twin (twin tip, soft-medium). Off-piste / powder: Thunderstorm or Turbo (setback, stiffer). Women: Feelbetter (smaller waist).

What is the difference between Goliath and Goliath+?

Both are all-mountain, directional, with 3BT and medium flex. The Goliath+ has extra Carbon Stringers for more pop and torsional stiffness plus a sintered base for extra speed. The regular Goliath is a little more forgiving and a lot cheaper. For 90% of the drivers the difference is small in practice.

Does 3BT also work in powder?

Yes, in fact: 3BT naturally provides more float than a flat base, because the side bases are slightly raised and resemble the profile of a water ski. Bataleon's freeride shapes (Thunderstorm, Turbo) combine 3BT with setback and taper for optimal powder behavior.

Are the Bataleon products in your outlet new?

Yes. All Bataleon boards and bindings are 100% new, unused and in original packaging. Previous seasonal models or test models (worn briefly once, in original condition). Not second hand. The warranty runs as with Bataleon itself.
